Public Notice: KUB to Hold Virtual Public Meeting on Construction of New Electric Substation on Western Ave.

KUB, in partnership with TVA, is set to construct a new electric substation on the north side of the roadway at 5983 Western Avenue, just west of the Cumberland Estates Shopping Center. Site preparation work is set to begin later this summer, followed by actual substation construction starting in summer 2022. The new substation, part of KUB Century II infrastructure upgrades, will provide system flexibility for upcoming projects to upgrade overhead transmission lines and nearby existing infeed electric substations.
